1. Why do I need an Address Record?
In order for your web site or server to be located by your.name, it must have an Address Record which maps the IP address of the server hosting your site, to your.name.
2. What's an IP Number?
An IP number is the unique number which identifies the location of your site's host computer.
3. How can I create an Address Record?
Simply check the radio button on the nameserver template during your registration and a Portable Address Record will be automatically created.

The Internet Service Provider (ISP) hosting your site may serve your address record on their system. Please contact your ISP's Network Support Line to arrange the creation of your address record on their nameserver. Most ISP's offer this service.

4. What is a Portable Address Record?
As an option, name.space offers a Portable Address Record that you can use to point to wherever your web site is located. This record is run on two independent routes on the Name.Space nameserver network. The Portable Address Record gives you full control over your Address Record through the Interactive Address Manager available only with name.space. service.

If for any reason you decide to change your Internet Service Provider, you can reassign your address to the IP number of your new host with an immediate update of your record that you can do by yourself!
